Like Block Island, Eli's is a small, relaxed summertime retreat.
Their Asian-inspired comfort food and ethereal brad pudding
reason enough to board the Block Island ferry.

This restaurant has the best menu and the best Chef on the Island.
The meals are so well put together with the flavors always complementing each other...
So very well worth the wait. Everyone should give them a try... You will enjoy excellent food and wonderful staff.

We were thankful they were open since we visited BI during the off season. I was anticipating
a great meal and i was not disappointed. The menu is limited but they have something for
everyone the combinations of flavors was terrific. My husband had the steak and I had
salmon...he raved about his meal! Salmon was wonderful. We will def be back!
How can you not love a dark and stormy followed by a fabulous dinner of game hen,
pumpkin risotto and spinach salad with goat cheese? My husband had the halibut,
and loved his dinner as well! Great service.
Totally worth the wait. My suggestion is arrive at opening time. The staff is exceptionally
pleasant. Food is amazing!
For us, no trip to Block Island is complete without a dinner at Eli's.
A wait is to be expected (try to arrive early), but the menu is full of items
that will make it worthwhile. Fresh ingredients, unique pairings,
unexpected flavors and bold presentations set it apart. As does the ambiance.
Amid the island's sweeping views and bright rays of sun and daily activities
and simple pleasures, it's nice to have a small and dark little nook to
tuck into for a bit. Eli's is our date night, our indulgence and a bit of a
tradition at this point. We still talk about meals we had there years ago!

What a pleasant surprise! We stumbled upon Eli's for an early dinner
while in Block Island for a short vacation. Our 9 year-old son was with us.
The menu isn't really kid oriented, but the bread kept him content
until a salad and super delicious calamari with an Asian sauce arrived
for his meal. My husband and I each had nicely flavored meals, and the
menu was way more interesting than you might expect from a touristy beach
town place. We had a memorable meal worth the price. Why not 5 stars?
I just think 5 stars is like a once-in-a lifetime kind of meal and place.
Eli's is terrific, and I do recommend it, especially if you can luck out and
avoid the wait like we did.
